My brother Dave, Update #51

I have a little brother, too, Rusty, and I can't imagine how I'd cope if he was in a hospital bed with such a medical challenge. Count on prayers from here for strength, healing, peace of mind, and faith that your brother is in good hands here and from up above.

I'm glad he was able to go fishin'.

After two weeks, Dave is home.

They cleared up the infection, removed the lesion and pronounced him cancer free.

He has a blood clot near his heart so he has to have a Lovenox (heparin) injection every 12 hours for the next several months. His abdomen is severely distended but that will pass. He is as weak as near beer but is no longer in pain.

Dave, mum and all the family offer thanks for all your concern.

PS: we are all going to visit him tomorrow to test the "laughter is the best medicine" adage.
