My 'Cajunized' CZ 75 Compacts from Cajun Gun Works

I would like to share pics of my 'Cajunized' CZ 75 Compacts. These are not from our resident Lawyer, but from Cajun Gun Works.

A good friend of mine introduced me to the CZ line and my first purchase was a TS 2. A heavy, steel frame hi capacity 9mm, SAO. Amazing trigger and really sweet to shoot. Then the Compacts came into the fold.

The CZ 75 Compact is avaible in two styles, a DA/SA with a safety and a DA/SA w a Decocker. The decocker version is referred to a the PCR, as it was the standard Czech police pistol. Both guns are 9mm, have 3.75" barrels, 15rd capacity. The Compact is a steel frame pistol, 32.8oz. The PCR is an alloy frame, 28oz.

The PCR was the first one that went to Cajun Gun Works. They installed their Pro Package Upgrade kit w Race hammer and a flatter trigger than what came from the factory. SS Guide rod. Also upgraded the barrel bushing to their 10X version. The bushing really tightens up the barrel fit. The slide was milled for a green dot Holosun 507K, and the dot sight will co witness with the front sight.

For the steel frame, safety model Compact, Cajun Gun Works has a package to convert it to a SAO. Cocked and lock style.
Imagine a mini Browning Hi Power. Race hammer, flat trigger, SS guide rod, 10X barrel bushing and nite sites. To me this one is all business. Between the steel frame and the flat trigger, it is a sweet shooter.

I tried several types of grips but the Nill grips just feel and look great. The holsters are from Craft Holsters. It is hard to find nice holsters for the CZ line, but these are real well made and to me well priced under $100 each. Approximately 6 wk turn around time.

Both pistols have SA pulls under 3pds and are just a joy to shoot. So if you have ever wondered about a new CZ, my advice would to be to jump in !

I have only two CZ pistols, and they are the only guns I own that are not in factory original condition (from any maker). Based on the reputation of CGW, I traded into the 97BD. It has their "E" conversion, 1911 bushing conversion, LPA rear sight, S/S guide and rubber grips. The accuracy of this gun is nothing short of remarkable. The 75BD Police has had trigger work and springs replaced, and is also a really nice shooter. I totally agree that CGW's work is top-notch.

My next CGW build will be a 97. i am a sucker for a .45. Kinda ashamed that it has taken me so long to discover them.

These two went to CZ Custom for similar treatment. Outstanding guns made better by the custom work. Added stainless guide rods.

Those 75's look sharp! I picked up a CZ 75 PCR a couple years back, and have been impressed with it compared to several SIG "P" series pistols I have owned or used. A pistol worth sinking some money into if it's going to be your primary carry.

Mine is a pre-"B", says "Made in Czechoslovakia" and was the 1st 9mm pistol I ever bought. I can't remember the last problem of any kind I've had with it, other than the rear sight needing a piece of tin foil to keep it from drifting...? Once.

These compacts are great pistols. I have/had the 75 Compact D PCR. Overall a great pistol, but a little large for my hands. I picked up a 3rd Gen S&W 3953 DAO. Less capacity but fits my hands well and I like the Double Action Only!

I received a S&W Model 36 3 inch with hard chrome finish in partial trade for the CZ. I would love to own a CZ 83 though!

Fits my hand like a glove applies here. The most natural pointing gun I ever owned.

Nice CZ's! How are the triggers? Mine has aluminum thin grips, changed trigger and disabled mag brake. The thin grips and trigger fits my hands better. The only other thing i would consider changing is the trigger pull to a "crisp" one. Have a full size also, and both are very accurate. Built like the proverbial tank.

Good advice from tt66 however he forgot the warning label which should read something like. CZ are great firearms and by purchasing you are the only one responsible for the safe use of this firearm. You will want to buy another then another CZ Firearm and CZ USA can not be held responsible for your bank account balance.
The CZ 75PCR rides on my hip, the CZ 75b comes to the range with me when I shoot the PCR and the 527 cz varminter in 204 ruger loves to play in the snow with the song dogs.

I have a P-01 Omega SA/DA with the hammer drop and it is ambi since I am a lefty. Sent it to Cajun for the Pro Package also. What a great gun. I had a 75 SA for a short time and sold it. Love CZ's and will own more.

I'm lucky and bought/traded for Otis24's CZ compact. It will get an RMR mounted on it and will be my duty gun for the last two years of my Reserve Office career.

I've also got both a CZ Custom and an Omega full size CZ75's. Even compared to my J&S Custom STI 2011, that put a friend of mine into the Custom Pistolsmith Guild years ago, these are far more accurate pistols.

CZ makes a great gun. Stumbled on a CZ 75 Long Slide customized at the factory. Now wearing Nills, very accurate. Ended up with 97 also customized by Cajun. Remains double action and again a great shooter. Downsizing my collection and not sure I want to sell either. Larry

My Cajunized twins. The Compact with the short reach trigger job is hard to describe; I will never feel a better SA/DA action again. They do amazing work.

Several years ago, picked up a slightly used twin, an SP01 Compact, and found the arch of the trigger made it actually painful to shoot. So sent to Cajun, who installed an older style trigger with a slightly different arch, and changed a pistol I did not enjoy shooting to just a delight at the range. A gun smith friend considered changing the trigger for me, but decided the trigger swap was not an easy thing so I sent it to Cajun as above.

I have a shooting buddy who bought the OP's version, and also found it a bit painful to shoot, so sold it. So if your compact CZ's trigger is less than pleasant to shoot, there is a trigger swap for that SF VET
