I now have the 610, 657, 686. Just need the 629 for the set of Classic Hunters. I cant decide if I want to put the original monogrips from Hogue on this one like the others have. Or get more wood grips similar to these. I am liking the wood look alot. When the set is completed I will get more photos.

If it were going to be something that was shot often, I would look into goodyears (hogues) but you just cant beat the look of wood.

Wow.Love the 10mm.....I love my 629 Classic DX,,,44mag...shes got a real nice trigger pull
allways goes into the woods with me....

I just bought one in .41 Magnum, used but in nice shape.
The cylinder is fluted but the grips are pretty much the same.

How's the trigger on your Classics?
My .41 has a very good single-action trigger but the DA seems heavy and kind of hard.
My son said he thinks the gun was made for shooting off a rest single action.

I Had My GunSmith do a trigger job to it,single action was great, but Double was hard...now both are like feathers,,,not too light but u can pull double with no strain or sight movement,,,,,He used to work for Smith,so he knows the Smiths real well

Single action is real nice. Double action is acceptable. Its not as nice as Id like but good enough.
My brother had a trigger job done on his 686. Afterwards, when he shot it double action the firing pin wasnt hitting the primer hard enough to fire it up. Single action was fine. So he had to get new springs and fix it.
