Nothing wrong with a Model 40...great little handgun that was first produced in 1952 and discontinued in 1974. Model 40-1 was reintroduced in 2007 as a Classic with a J-magnum frame and no IL. DBU5688 should be 2008 (per SCSW 4th Ed.). Enjoy!
You're doing great.
Here are two stainless steel examples I don't see in your photo.
Seems like you have a glaring hole without a .22cal revolver in there. If you like the shorties, a 317 would fit the bill.
As for what else your collection is "missing", well, I'm not a snub revolver guy so all of the things I like best aren't really in your lane.
With that said, a short barreled Ruger Speed Six would most definitely fit extremely well in your collection I think.
Not a Model 17 - there were no 2" versions.A Model 35 or a Model 17 would fill that void.
Not a Model 17 - there were no 2" versions.
The Model 35 is a .22/32 Target model which, by definition, had a 6" barrel. A 2" .22/32 would be a Kit Gun Model 34.
Your collection is growing. Congratulations!
I got hooked on the S&W Chiefs Special a few years ago. They have a way of multiplying that I don't fully understand yet.
Here is an old family picture. The group has almost doubled since this was taken. My early preference was the steel frame blue ones, but as time went on, and not pictured, I have added target models, Airweights, and a stainless..... It just keeps growing. The more I learn about them, the more I want.
