The laws says bequest, not inheritance
His brother can bequest him the gun at anytime if it was the fathers wish. The laws says bequest not inheritance. He said the brother was the "care taker" not the "owner".
bequest
n. the gift of personal property under the terms of a will. Bequests are not always outright, but may be "conditional" upon the happening or non-happening of an event (such as marriage), or "executory" in which the gift is contingent upon a future event. Bequest can be of specific assets or of the "residue" (what is left after specific gifts have been made).
But, I agree it is just like the guns that show up here missing serial numbers. A good percentage of this forum were or are LEOs, yet I have not heard of any arrests of those who have confessed to this heinous crime to the forum.
