I was going to have another local member stipple my Shield for me, but I decided to give it a try for myself. Went out and bought a wood burning kit for $15 from lowes. Practiced on the replaceable back strap for my full size to find what tip and pattern worked best. This is the result.

I'm thrilled with how it turned out. WAY better hold on it now. Apex trigger kit will be ordered soon, and I'm still waffling over some night sights for it. Wanting something with a straight eight setup, but I want both the front and rear sight to be visible in the dark.

Ameriglo makes a shield specific set of night sights. They are outlined in the front with bright orange and single dot in the rear. Both front and rear glow green at night

I LOVE those. Thanks for he heads up!

Nice work on the stippling! After disappointing results with Talon, Hogue, and Pachmayr, I'm going to be trying stippling soon.

That looks great. I would love to do a little stippling on my M&P's but I'm a coward.
If wanting to practice first, go buy some AR15 PMAGS, they are polymer (same exact material as your gun so you can get a feel), and you can easily find them for less than $20. Check Academy...
