My first ever S&W revolver...

I thought that this photo made this gun worthy of another look. I actually took up photography just so I could shoot my guns..pun intended. :)

Semper Fi, Marine! Nice goldanged handgun! WHAT A WAY TO START!

Can I plead some stupidity here and ask a dumb question? Unlike so many, I can't always just LOOK at a S&W and tell you the Model. I see it is a .357 Magnum, but that's all I can see, not counting the beauty, etc. Hard to miss how good looking it is. After that, and the fact that it has fixed sights like a M36 or M10 (both .38s), I have to ask....sorry if I'm obtuse or just an idiot....

We fully expect....

Since you are on the forum and have bought your first Smith & Wesson, we fully expect that you will post pictures of your next purchases that are sure to come about.:D

PS: I'm not a big fan of fancy engraved revolvers but the only word for that job is ELEGANT.

I have a very untrained eye, but I'm gonna guess a 60. Looks great too!

That qualifies as art. Beautiful piece and you will be adding to your j-frame group. Enjoy and I hope you have many years of enjoyment with it.
Frank.

A good OWB for a revolver like that is Milt Sparks PMK. I've got one for my 3" N-Frames, and they will make it for your revolver.

The #PMK is similar in design to our 55BN holster, but allows the gun to set a bit lower on the belt. I originally designed this holster for my wife to help keep the butt of her Detective special from digging into her ribcage, hence her initials PMK.

Each holster is meticulously hand molded around the actual model of the revolver it is meant to carry. The mouth of the holster is reinforced with metal to provide rigidity and long lasting durability. The belt slot and rear loop are positioned so as to pull the weapon as close to the body as possible. Currently available for most revolvers with 4 inch or less barrels.

Model: PMK, Price $100

This is the first S&W revolver I have ever purchased. I figured I would start off big to make up for lost time. I know this isn't everyones cup of tea...but I like it!

Looks like a Very handsome piece to me. Who really gives a rodents' rectum what anyone else thinks. YOU like it! End of discussion.

If it wouldn't be "un-manly" or considered an insult to a former Marine . . . that's one heck of a "pretty wheel gun"! I can see why you added it . . . very, very nice! Thanks for sharing!

Very nice first gun. Some of these "enablers" on this site seem to relish in a new guy's painful addiction. Don't listen to them!! But, then again...to Hell with it. They're probably right.

OH…did I forget to mention that I bought it for my wife

Truthfully, if it's not a 1911….she's not interested….
