My first J frame

After numerous N frames, several K frames two X frames and several semi autos purchased my first J frame today. It's a 60 no dash was unfired till a friend bought it last year than shot half a box and put it in the safe. Asked me if I wanted it couldn't find the box,agreed on a price. That was a month ago today I picked it up and he found the box with everything in it! In the S&W book this serial number should have case hardened trigger and hammer but doesn't.

Very nice, looks like an early one with the "diamond" stocks. The SN ranges for finish and part changes on these are approximate, and the factory never did anything 100% predictably. Enjoy!

I got my 60 in 1975 as a promotion present from my dad. It was my backup and off duty for over 20 yrs. and still performs as well as the day I got it. Congrats. you got a good one...
