I was just talking about this the other day. The dealer gave me a good price for my Malibu, so I bit. I got this nice GT Mustang rag top today. It’s pretty quick and sounds great. My driveway looks nicer now. Premium package gets me leather heated & cooled power seats. And is as fast as it sounds. I’m finally happy today!

I had a Mustang years ago. Be careful in the rain. Rear wheel drive makes it want to slide. Mechanically, it never gave me not one problem.

Super nice ride! I rented Mustang convertibles every trip I made to Arizona from 2005 to 2024, 5 generations, and I think that the S550 is the epitome of Mustangs and rag tops are the only way to go.

I drove alongside a newer GT 500 the other day, sounded like a lot of car. I have friend that gets a new Corvette every change, he is waiting for his new C8 or wherever they are. The C7 was a hell of a car, he let me take it out for a spin. I am not adult enough for a car like that, I would be getting my license taken away inside of a week. I have a friend that owns a Hellcat, he wont let me drive it because I told him if he did I would show him how to do a burn out. My fun car is a Model A, I get all excited when I spin the inside tire on a hard turn up a hill.

Our first GT was an 89. 302 5 speed.......One Sunday morning on a very low traffic straight stretch of hwy. I decided to see what it would do........I throwed it up into 3rd and nailed it........At 98 mph I shifted into 4 and nailed it....All the lines in hwy were solid........Couldn't se the breaks.......Trees on each side were blurry......looked down and I was running 132 mph...........Got kinda scared and backed off.......Still had 5th gear to go......Speedometer had 140 on it..........No doubt if I had held it it would have pegged it.
Our second GT had an automatic trans........I only got it up to 100 a couple of times.......Sadly wife found it harder to get in and out of so she traded our third for a Mom Mobile.....So after 3 ponies they are gone.......The kid in me wants another.

I'll add mine to the mix. Bought this lightly used on my birthday in 2016 as a retirement gift to myself. Went two states away to get it because I wanted the Gotta Have It Green, only made in 2013 and 2014. The only mod I've made to it is a Roush axle back exhaust.

Choose the right tires for high speeds. I put high speed, dollar Yokohamas on my 1990 5.0 HO. Drove like a dream. Got married, and when those needed replacing I couldn't afford them. Driving out of the tire store upset me at any speed.

Third and fourth gears were monsters.

Enjoy!!

Well done! A suitable reward for working hard! And when you hit that V8 with the top down, you are suddenly in High School again and you can do anything!

I've had a bunch of Mustangs over the years, and this is my current one. I think this is #12 for me. A 2008 GTCS with a 5-speed and 65k miles, I'm the second owner. Unfortunately, I don't drive it much so it's up for sale.

I'll play.. my first new one was in 1990.. Black GT 5 speed.. drove it every day, rain snow hot cold, didn't matter. raced it on weekends.. SCCA Autocross and drag racing...had too many and sold it to a friend for cheap.. he actually traded a S&W 36 and some cash for it.. lol.. his high school son totalled it.. 😪.. welcome to the club...
