Hello All, I've been lurking around here for a while & it has been a world of information & help that I haven't found anywhere else, so thank you all! Which is why I'm posting today, also I was finally able to sneek my wifes camera away to post a picture. Hopefully my lack of computer skills won't stop me. The pistol I inherited is from My Aunts 2nd husband, Gene. Now I don't want to say he had one of those hoarding disorders, but I will say He had alot of eclectic collections as well a large gun collection.
When we would visit, Gene & I would talk about everything from Muscle Cars to guns. One day we got on the subject of pistols & He asked if I had any experience w/them, assuming I didn't being I was not an officer in the Army. I proceeded to politely "straighten his tie", being I was a flight status crew chief in the Army. I then told him of the wide variety of pistols I qualified with during the "Clinton Downsizing Years", when I was in the Reserves. My Reserve unit went from the standard M9, to the 1911, to if you can believe it, Colt .38 revolvers, till the unit was de-activated. I actually enjoyed shooting the revolver the most. Gene was impressed & said "I think I have 1 or 2 of them in my collection & if I find 1 you can have it because I don't shoot that much any more. Years went by & I didn't think about, till He passed away last year, & my Aunt called me & asked me if I knew what kind of pistol He wanted to give me? Weeks later my Aunt shows up at the house with A S&W 28-2 & says I hope it's the one because my cousins came over & "went through" his collection. I think I enjoy the S&W more than the Colt I talked about, being I later found out it was what he was issued & carried on the job as an armored car driver.
AHH Nuts I can't seem to get the picture to work I'll try again later, Sorry!
