I had a couple scraps of unknown material I had come upon long ago. I had intended on making a knife handle or some such thing of them.

When I saw some of Patricks work I looked him up and sent him the pieces.

He communicated back that he could make a pair of K round stocks from them. I asked him to make them as large as possible, the thinking being that material can always be removed, but never put back.

Within days, he sent me these. To say i am well pleased is an understatement.

Thank you Pat, I cannot bring to mind anyone i would trust more with a project like this, ,

Very nice, Al! Those look like they are a little wider than standard magnas - and would be pretty comfortable to shoot.

Those grips are beautiful. Did you ever find out what material they are?

And by the way, Allen-frame, could you post a photo or two of the entire revolver wearing those stocks?

Anyones best guess was that this is some kind of tooth. The white coloring looks like tooth enamel yes?

Here is a picture of the model 13-2 .

Al:

Beautiful 13-2! Those grips really show off the beauty of that 3"er. Patrick does very nice work!

Congrats!

One of these days when I get around to it, I'm gonna post a picture of my pencil barrel 64 with the pair of bone service grips (not magnas) Patrick made for it along with the tyler.
He DOES do some nice work.

Woolly mammoth ivory the guy sez. Sure, woolly mammoth ivory, just plain old common everyday woolly mammoth ivory. And if anybody believes that I've got a nifty little suspension bridge over in San Francisco I'll sell for cheap!!
