Stopped into the LGS and down at the bottom of the case, past used black plastic was this sweet old girl. I asked the clerk to see the model 10. She said, "which one is that?". Looking it over I determined it hadn't been fired, or of it had been I couldn't tell. No top strap mark, no internal cylinder marks, just the telltale cylinder turn line of 45 years of lookyloos. "Box", I ask. "Nope". "But I can give you a new S&W box". Sigh (but that was nice).
I'll take it I say.

Oh, BTW. $299.99. I know we all like that info. Also, it dates to 1971. Oh, the grips serial to the gun and there really isn't even a mark on it. What looks like barrel tip wear in the pic is reflection.
