Have any of you ever shot or felt like shooting the house fly in your house? For some reason they just keep popping out one at a time and the fly swatter just isn't cutting the musturd! Hate those little buggers. FlyBeGone!

I'd more than likely miss even with the 12GA.

I've used a Crossman pump with spit balls out to ten feet or so. Don't pump it more than twice though. :D:D:D

Disclaimer, It wasn't in my house. Yuck. Sometimes knowing some trashy people is entertaining.

Good thing about Wisconsin in the winter. We don't got no stinking house flies. Someone did do a post about shooting hornets or bees on his deck with bird shot in a hand gun. That sounded like fun. After a few to many beers years ago as a yout I took a 410 to the crow that was picking open my garbage bag........you don't want to do that.

Not to call anyone trashy for having an abundance of flies. It seems like some years are worse here too. AND we have bugs of all sorts. Trust me a palmetto bug ain't gonna vaporize with a spitball. :D

Time to start mixing up some drywall mud. I imagine a less than lethal shell in a 12 gauge might do the trick on a fly

Get yourself some really long rubberbands. If you want to go whole-hog, make a rubberband gun by cutting out your favorite handgun pattern in wood (obviously long barrels do better for this task), cut a smooth notch at the end of the barrel and glue a spring-loaded wood clothespin where the hammer would go.

I made an 18" barrel Model 29 when I was a kid. I took one of my mom's old wood thread spools, split it in half, and glued it to the sides for the cylinder. 8^ )

Speaking of dead flies - A couple of years ago, I got the hots for one of the CMP's Kimber 82G's at the North Store, Camp Perry, OH. I picked out a good one, and a couple of weeks later, mounted a Weaver T36 Scope on it for some 50-yard target work. It grouped amazingly tight. While at the range, a fly got on one of the targets. I had to trap him, but here's the target - And yes, the Kimber will shoot .1" groups @ 50 yards.
