JIM I know the loss is painful ,we have ALL gone.down that road

We feel for you. We have had this happen before with our rescues. We have one now that has taken a bad turn after 10 years with him. We were glad for our time together

I post this every time somebody loses a companion animal. I mean it every time I post it.
I am deeply sorry for your loss and I honestly believe that the best thing you can do to honor your dog is to go save another one

I'm very sorry for your loss.
Sorry to read of your loss. It comes to all of us who love these family members, sometimes many times. My Luna is 13, still apparently healthy, but I know she can’t stay forever. Last year her mother Gracie moved on after 14 years. It never gets any easier.
Sorry for your loss, sir. Been there, done that, and it's never easy.
Been there done that, leaves a hole in your heart, but don't wait too long to get a replacement. It will heal.

I started looking for a new dog soon after Patty's passing. I'd prefer to get a rescue. Small dogs are very popular by adopters at the rescues. I hope it doesn't take too long.
Good on you! As most here already know, for over 40 years whenever we said goodbye to a pet we would say hello to another.
All were/are rescues or strays.
