My M&P sport / Anderson AR15

I find it kind of odd to see the A1-2 butt stock on an AR currently. I mean, I went through my whole ARMY career with that ugly butt stock. So, seeing the current M4 type butt stock just seems like the norm. Am I making sense?

Yup, it was a great day when we switched from M16's to M4's. Now their referred to as "muskets" when we see Air force or National guard soldiers still carrying them around.

I started out with M-14's so M-16's seemed like nothing to hump, and spit out bullets like they were free! Carried 30, 20 round mags and two bandoliers at least. The longer barrel was never an issue walking but the only time we got a ride was in choppers.

yeah you make perfect sense, but as a civilian, who cannot shell out $2000 for a real colt A2 or can't even get an M16, I like the classic look and prefer a an A2 stock since I have to have it fixed anyway. Its about as light as the one that was on here previously, so weight doesn't matter to me.

I also like the A2 butt stock. My Colt came with one. The M&P Sport 2 stock is ok, but it just seems cheap, flimsy. I like my M&P Sport 2 rifle, but I like my Colt AR15 A2 better. But that's just me.:)
