Welcome to the forum!

Your gun is from the late '64, to early '65 time period. That would make it a first or second year gun. Does it have all the tools and the original stocks on it? Depending on the actual condition of everything, you have a nice collectors piece.

If possible, post up some pictures for us to see, and make a better determination.

The early Model 57s (first year plus) were shipped in mahogany cases that were lined with dark blue velvet. Your case is most likely original to the gun.

this is all i have of the gun, box and anything else that might have come with it. have had it about 6 years, the gun was so good lookin i decided not long after buyin it i wouldnt use it on iron at distance or for hunting. so i use light loads up close on paper, and dont carry it out into the desert, afraid of scratching its finish. thanks for the info.

I see a serial number of 22287Bxx on the frame and model 37 stamped above it. Can someone help on the year of manufacture? Thanks. :)
