I was just sitting here, trying to think of yet another excuse not to clean my 4" 617-1 when I saw this thread. Great gun, mine gets shot more than all of my others combined. Now, I have work to do.

I took my 6" 617 to the range yesterday and it shot like a dream. The first time I have shot a 617 and it was everything I thought it would be in regards to accuracy and pure fun.

Yeah....That's one, or two, or three. I've seen exactly one SB 6 shot 617 for sale locally in the last 10 years.

The unfortunate answer is no. It was probably close to 10 yrs. ago when I was deeply involved in my 1911 Colt madness. There was a guy selling said 617 for $375. I saw him at several shows with it and he wouldn't budge. I was buying used Colts for $450-$500 and couldn't justify $375 for a .22. I've got a pre 18 and a K22. I once owned a 10 shooter 17-8 matte blue full underlug. I much prefer a 4" with a full UL.
