Or as it is commonly referred to as, Pre-27. Purchased from a true gentleman. I also have a pre-26, so I will be on the hunt for a pre-25 in the future.

On a side note the reason it was called The .357 Magnum was because in 1950 it was the only .357 Magnum that S&W offered
until 1954 when The Highway Patrolman was introduced.
Perhaps had they envisioned that there would be three different .357 models available in the AMC prior the advent of a
new model numbering system the advertising men probably would have come up with something much snazzier.

Absolutely gorgeous. I have looked at your picture a dozen times and it looks better each time.
I am still amazed how these "time-capsule" revolvers still show up so frequently. How does someone buy one, just put it away for all these years and keep it brand new.
Just stunning, congratulations.
