My new 34 2 incher

Ok went to my lgs today and found a nice little 34 2 incher blue .
99% in box with all paper work and tools still in the sealed plastic bag.
$375.00 otd
Can some one tell year of birth? M1812xx
This makes my set of 2 inchers.
34 2 inch blue
34 2 inch nickel
63 2 inch stainless

375 is a smoking deal- these seem to be escalating to the 500+ price range lately even without the box and associated stuff. nice score- I've been searching for a mod 34 2 inch myself- only one I've seen locally is a nickel round butt(prefer the square myself) and it is in like 90% condition without any accessories for 550

$375 is a very good deal for a clean 34 snubbie and they are definately not as easy to find as K22's...

Seems to be more 4" SB's for sale than snubs, I wonder what the ratio is of 4" to 2".
Seeing as 22lr is not exactly an ideal self defense round and a snubbie is usually intended to be a more of a CCW gun
Than a target or plinking piece,
Perhaps they were intended as a trainer for the model 36?
Always found it unusal that they all have target sites as well compared to 38 special snubs which are hard to find with target sites
Im guessing thats probably for economics of the plant not having to have all the different frames and barrels in both target and non target variation.


I saw one recently for $400 but it was a 4 hour drive away and seller didnt want to ship.

My Model 34 2" is one of my all time favorite handguns. It has accompanied me on hunting and fishing trips for many years and kept my pot filled with cottontails, snowshoe hares, grouse and other tasty critters. Fits into a vest pocket along with a box of ammo and I know I'll never starve to death as long as I have it with me in the woods.

$375 OTD with box, etc, is an outstanding deal in today's market.
