MY NEW 586 NO DASH

I would buy that gun for its grips.
I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for those grips today!

Thanks! I was lucky enough to get on Curt's "Last List" before any of us knew it would be his last list. Waited about a year for these. Not sure how much more Curt has to go, but he will be sorely missed when he stops. I have three other examples of his work and he is a true artisan.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

Probably 1985. A call to S&W should give you exact.

I found this 1987 586-1 last month for $550 in a local shop. Didn't have the wood grips. I decided to send it to S&W for the "M" recall work. Hopefully I get it back sometime this year.

For those that don't know about it, here's a great article by Revolver Guy explaining the issue.

Good to know. Wasn’t sure how long it would take. I haven’t even shot it yet. But when I saw the photos of what they do, I figured it was a good idea just to get it done. My FP hole looked a little large.

Just got a tracking number from S&W that mine is coming home. They received it on June 4th, so just over two weeks. I guess I got lucky.

Now I'm waiting for the Feds to lift the Stage 2 fire restrictions on my BLM shooting area, so I can actually get out and shoot it. Along with my comped model 19 PC, model 57, & my 3" model J Jovino. I've picked up a few Smiths over the past month.
