Hello everyone,

This has been a project that has finally come together and it all started when IDPA starting the new BUG-R division. This revolver started life as a S&W 64. Custom work, starting with an action job. It has the smoothest trigger pull that anyone could ask for and the barrel was from a model 681, cut down to put it within the new rule book. The front sight machined, fitted and installed. Trigger stop and set screw on the strain screw. Detent balls installed to lockup the crane and second to hold open the cylinder when reloading. The hammer was skeletonized. I hope that I didn't forget anything.

I can't wait for our first local match to try it out.

No two ways about it - that's a Mojo.
Joe Leinenger knows how to make a gun fun to shoot.

I have a bug gun that he built with VERY similar features.

It is currently my favorite revolver. I plan to bring him more work shortly, because the only thing better than a great revolver, is too many great revolvers!

Enjoy it.

THAT IS ONE SWEET REVOLVER. IT SHOULD BE GREAT FUN TO SHOOT, AND MORE THAN COMPETITIVE WITH ANY REVOLVER ON THE LINE----IF YOU DO YOUR PART, OF COURSE. IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE MORE DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE MODS MADE TO THE REVOLVER, IF POSSIBLE. I HAVE NEVER SEEN / HEARD OF A SKELETONIZED HAMMER, OR A BALL DETENT TO KEEP THE CYLINDER OPEN ON A REVOLVER BEFORE. GOOD LUCK WITH IT…...

IDPA has BUG classes for autos and revolvers that meet certian restrictions.
BUG = back-up gun.

OK - Good to know.

Well, I'll say this. That is a real sweet one the way it is set up, and I'd be Proud if it was my Primary gun, let alone a backup.

Real neat look to it.

I love it,
May I ask how much did the work cost and what about the turn around time?

That is one fine looking custom revolver. As with Pete950, I'm curious to see a price breakdown of the custom work done.

Here are some of the photos that some have asked to see. If there is a photo that you would like to see just let me know. Two photos are of the smoothed trigger. One is of the quality machining. If you notice you can't tell that there is a pin holding in the front sight. Some asked about the detente ball locking the cylinder closed. There is also a detente ball that holds the cylinder open during reloads. That is in the crane (not pictured).

As far as the action work. Just let me say that it is phenomenal. It is as smooth as anything I have ever felt. As is the work that Joe @ Mojo Custom Guns did on my S&W 627. Like Mojo Custom Guns on facebook for any questions of other things that he did on this custom 64 and pricing. It shoots like a dream. Thanks Joe Leinenger!

Well that is certainly an interesting revolver , and fine example of the gunsmithing arts.

Haven't run across the additional ball detent to hold the crame Open before , but I can visualize it. But for the life of me , I can't concieve of what is a "set screw for the strain screw" ? Please enlighten us.
