I took my new pistol to the range and after some great advice from two members on reloading I shot these two groups from 15 yds over the hood of my truck. I was testing the gun and ammo not my off hand ability, As a matter of fact if you check the upper group you will see the tape covering my off hand shots:o

Nice groups indeed. Looks like you got a shooter....congrats on your new buy.

Thanks, I sold a XD 40, a Sig 220, a S&W 438 and a LC9 to buy a S&W 66 snubbie, a Shield 40 and the M&P 45 and made a few bucks. The Shield and the 45 are easy to shoot, I may get the apex trigger for the 45 after I shoot a couple of hundred rounds through it. I'm still getting used to it.

That's definitely a keeper!

(You're making me reconsider my next M&P purchase.)

:D

Great shooting. I recently purchased the M&P.45 and 2 shields for my two daughters. Love them both -- ----- and my daughters too.
What was the advise the members gave you? I hate to say but right now, my shooting is like yours with the taped holes.

They gave me hints on reloading. The other advice I got was grip the gun about as tight as you would a hammer, the SUPPORT hand grips your shooting hand tightly, this lets your shooting hand relax and not move when pulling the trigger, of course front sight, front sight, front sight. I had a bad habit of switching focus on the target just before pulling the trigger, this had me jerking the trigger thinking I could get the shot off before the pistol moved Ha, fat chance!!!! My best groups were when I let the target blur and kept the sights sharp that and not yanking on that trigger. BTW this pistol, M&P45 is the best point shooter I've ever shot, 3 targets, 6" dirt clods at 20 yds about 20 ft apart less than 4 seconds seconds, not direct hits but certainly center mass on a B-27 silhouette target. I must admit today was exceptional, not my average shooting.

Nice shooting. I have a 4 1/2 inch M&P 45 in brown on order. I can't wait to get it in and get to the range.

Congrats, I get my 4 1/2" M&P45 out of Jail tomorrow afternoon.

I've already got dies, brass & powder just need bullets & I'm good to go.
