my new m&p bodyguard .380 (non laser) fail to feed on last round only.............any suggestions? or feedback?
it only does it when mags are full with 6 rounds. and it doesn't do it every time either. also it seemed like if I gripped the gun better it didn't do it.

sounds like you may have a sticky mag.... have you tried to take the mags apart & clean them? Brush the follower down with some Hoppes #9 & an old toothbrush and get some Hoppes inside the top of the mag and scrub it clean, wipe dry & use no lube....

good news, cabelas where I bought the gun gave me 2 more new mags and threw in a box of sig sauer 380 100 grain ammo for my troubles. going to go shooting again hopefully tomorrow will update results.

Wow that's a nice throw in.
From my experience 380 pistols do not like some of the cheaper ammo. I hav never had issues with mine when shooting Remington

I agree with the 380 pistols not liking cheaper ammo, but I have had problems with the BG feeding Remington UMC ammo. What I have left will be given to my LCP to digest!

Have you had other shooters try to see if they experience the same problem?

ok went to the range today the last round failure to feed problem is gone after cabelas replaced my mags now I have another issue the slide wont lock back on the last round everytime. anyone else have that problem?

I was just out shooting at the ranch with my daughter - home from college yesterday afternoon. She's 21 and petite, but physically very strong. She has not shot very much in her life, but is not uncomfortable around firearms.

We shot my 3 semi-auto pistols - BG 380, Sig 232 380, and Sig 226 9mm at prickly pear cactus at various ranges from 5-22 yards. All 3 pistols were sqeaky-clean and properly lubed. The BG's mags had both been disassembled, cleaned and lubed.

She was quite accurate with both Sigs, grouping tightly with the 226, and put 2 holes in a 8" pear leaf at 22yards with the 232 out of 6 rounds in the mag.

She shot 2 mags trough the BG380. She was hitting the 6-7" dia. cactus quite reliably. However, both mags failed to lock back when empty. One mag failed to feed on the second shot. I fired 3 mags through it right afterward with the same ammo and had zero problems. Both .380s were shooting the same Federal 95gr ball ammo and the Sig never missed a step - nor has it EVER failed to fire, feed, or lock open when empty - no matter what brand of ammo it is fed.

I practice draw & aim extensively with the BG, have probably snap cap dry-fired it about 1400 times, and live fired it about 150 rounds in the 5 months I've owned it.

I feel fully comfortable with the BG as a CC weapon for my own personal use. **However, I would NEVER recommend the BG380 pistol for self-defense to a novice or inexperienced shooter.** If my daughter decides she is ready for a CCW, then I will either get her a J-frame .38, a Sig 232, or small frame Glock to try out and let her make the decision herself.
