My new Sigma

2weird.. Just an idea. You might check that little hole
that the striker pin goes through to hit the primer.
If that little hole gets crudded up with lint, crud, powder
residue, etc it could possibly cause that problem.
Not saying it's that, but worth a careful check.
I've never had a glitch with my 40VE yet, but I have to admit
I haven't been shooting it much the past few months.
But so far, nary a glitch. The only gripe I have with mine is it
seems to shoot slightly low. The trigger doesn't bother me.
It's a defense pistol, not a target plinker. And with no external
safety, I don't want the trigger too easy. Good way to have a ND
when holstering, excited, etc..
In fact, when I holster those things, I make sure to angle the
pistol away from my leg while doing it. I don't keep a finger near the
trigger when doing so, but getting in the habit of pointing the pistol
slightly away from the leg and feet when holstering is a good habit to
develop.
I'd wager to say a vast majority of ND's with these "Glock" type
no external safety pistols is when holstering the things.
The ole booger picker strays to where it ain't supposed to be in
the process. :/

Starting Oct 1- Dec 31 there is a rebate on all Sigmas. Either two magazines or $50.
Imagine $299 - $50. Plus transfer, Bud's has em.

I've had my 9VE over a year now. 1100 rounds, it ain't no tack driver but rapid fire 17 rounds in center mass is no problem. I think I may get a 40 with this new rebate you can't go wrong. I pimped mine out, what you think? Caution, eye protection recommended. LOL

Mr Frank Smith fixed my Trigger and it is like a glock's now. It is my nightstand gun and I CCW it when its cold down here in Texas.

I liked the 9mm I got in trade so much I just bought a new one in .40! The new one has a trigger that feels heavier than the 9mm and a bit crunchy so the snap is a little harder to sense. Now the trade gun .. had someone break it in! Guess I will just have to put more rounds through it. Going to the range again on Monday .. Shucks! :)

Shoot it in to 2 inch groups at 35 feet using point and shot. double taps to the chest and one to the heAD WERE PRETTY EASY. The gun points so naturally its amazing. I also felt like the recoil was less than on other .40's. I wonder if its because the grip has your hand furthur under the gun or something. i dont know .. Im not an ergonomic scientist .. just a dude who is very happy with his 2 sigmas. Bought a fobus HK1 and it conceals better than my xd.

Thank you very much for the advice.I normally check and clean the striker hole/assembly by giving it a brief "blast" of Tetra Gun's Action Blaster thru the striker hole, let it stand a couple minute's,then a brief shot of compressed air to remove any residue, then a small amount of Rem Oil for lube. Again, thank's for your help.

I just put a Sigma SW9VE 9mm Stainless (SKU 220025) on lay-away at Bud's, for actual purchase on 1 October -- so I can get the $299 price and the $50 S&W rebate.

This Sigma will have to run with big dogs -- my S&W M&P 45, Sig P228, FNP-9, and Sig P-6 -- all proven performers without a FTF among them (ever). It'll have to shoot the kinds of ammo that can be found now-a-days, including Brown Bear and Tula painted steel rounds, bulk re-loads from Georgia Arms, and Blazer Brass and Blazer Aluminum. It will also get a few JHP's, just to make sure it can function with them.

We'll see how it works!

Had a Sigma about seven years ago but like a fool,I sold it.I've regretted it ever since. But I put another one on lay-a-way
last week.Planning on picking it up before long.Oh yeah,it's a .40.
Oh,by the way,can anyone recommend a decent IWB holster ? I really can't afford some of the prices that I've been seeing on
some of the holster manufacture's websites.

I carry mine daily in a IWB Kholster: Kholster

The most comfortable IWB I've ever had and very reasonably priced.

I've had my 9VE for a couple of years now and I also think it's a great value for the money. There are a lot of different opinions about the trigger, but once I got used to it, I believe my accuracy with it as well as my other pistols and revolvers greatly improved. I recently bought a Beretta 96D LE trade-in and I know I wouldn't have been as successful shooting it had it not been for the Sigma. Great little pistol!

Reload 'em

2 brass in the envelope.....either a quirk, or it came from New York? Who's name is on envelope?
The first thing I did with those cases was reload them. :D

I used to have that same gun. It shot well for me and carried just fine also. It was a perfectly fine gun but it went down the road to finance a custom revolver project.
