A week ago today I was in Green Bay Wisconsin, I stopped at Cabela's to see what if they had anything I might need. There on the rifle rack was a Ruger Pistol Caliber Carbine in 40cal. and the price was $579 + tax, and with the 5% military discount it covered the tax. filled out the paperwork the clerk taped the box shut and I departed the store. I got home decided to stop by Dunham's Sporting goods they had some ammo, not much but no limits, On the selves were 223 and 55, 9mm and 38spl and some other rifle ammo 300 blackout . I bought 2 boxes of 9mm. The prices did not seem to be jacketed up, $16.35 for 50 rounds. Both Cabela's and Dunham's didn't have a lot of guns in the display case, Nighthawks and Kimber's No Smiths, Rugers, Springfield's , Taura's . I feel Pretty luck to find the carbine That was on my List.

I guess you need to be in the right place at the right time.

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes' spent a really good day with my wife, had a fine dinner of my wife egg rolls and Cream Brule with a raspberry sauce.

Pistol caliber carbines are ultra cool...I bought an IMI Timberwolf in .357 Magnum and hard chrome factory finish in the mid-90's for $225...The thing was scary accurate out to fifty yards open sights...Not having seen one anywhere in years, I took it to a gunshow to gauge the interest...I had found old completed sales of blued .44's at $1200 and up, so to anyone who asked I said it's $1900...

Most people never even heard of it and thought I was nuts...A few knew what it was but tried to steal it...After telling one guy what I knew of IMI/Action Arms and their guns, he offered me $1500 which I turned down...On my way out of the show, he raised it to $1600 cash on the spot...I said yes and re-invested in a few Smittys......Ben

carpriver, I had a very similar experience....birthday was 2 weeks ago. last week got the Ruger PCC in 9mm at a local gunshop. paid a bit closer to msrp than you, but still happy with the purchase. I took it to the range and put 50 rounds of various design thru it with zero problems. Got 2 boxes(100 rounds) of factory ammo with it. I have already changed to the Glock mags
