I've been working on this for a couple of weeks now. His name is Milo, although I'm pretty sure he thinks it's either "No", "Don't Eat That" or "Don't Bite Charlie" (my 16 year old longhair Doxy). He's a Dachshund, now 10 weeks old. It's been more than 13 years since my last puppy, and I'd forgotten how cute - and mischievous they can be. Too bad we're doing "social distancing" because he's a real chick magnet! :)

That's one lucky pup. He has a combination full time servant/heated mattresses.

You probably should have named him Buddha. I suspect a lot of people will want to rub his cute little belly!

Tom, It looks like you have a lap dog in training there. And that's ok, that's they way it should be.

Hopefully you be able to train him better than I have with my Doxy. My girl is pure German thru and thru...HARD HEADED and WON'T MIND...But she does know the word to come when I say "SUPPER" or "NAP TIME"..

You did good...A S & W and Dachshund lover gets a A+ in my book.

LOL - stubbornness is a characteristic of the breed, but being German myself, I've been able to out-stubborn all I've had, and I've had a bunch. My last crew, including Charlie when he was much younger. Left to right, Charley, Gunner and Max:

Unfortunately, Max and Gunner are gone. :(
