I began my hangunning in the later 1960s and continues till now, though at various times I collected Sharps rifles, and for some reason, large bore African rifles. I remember the Model 29 scarcity of the 1970s,and overindulged myself in my passion for them. Until quite recently I had one of the larger pre Model 29 and Model 29 collections, many being unfired since factory.I am now ashamed to say how many I had,but before their prices started to crash this year I sold them, keeping only a few as shooters. When I`m not shooting and reloading I am semi active in ham radio. I`m not much of a poster in forums, simply here to associate with other Smith enthusiasts and read others posts. My pleasure to meet you all

From the sound of your past collection, you must have friends who are orthopods or physical therapists. :D:D:D

Welcome from central Virginia, and enjoy the fine bunch around here! We do love pics, BTW.

I started with a 375 H&H and progressed to a 458 Lott, and I shot them a lot. That was 15 years ago when I was younger. I`m 68 now and wouldnt do it at my age . I`m afraid of a retinal detachment from the recoil. I just got home from visiting relatives in Lynchburg. Nice to meet you
