My Smith & Wesson Model 19-3 snub-nose

You bet, if I ran across one like that even in that 'mature' condition, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat. You don't see those around anywhere at LGS on used shelves.

And that's why I imported mine through GunBroker. I knew those weren't being made anymore, and the chances of finding one in a gun store in my state were pretty much zip.

All of my old revolvers are in really good condition, just by luck. I worry too much about messing them up and sometimes it detracts from my enjoyment of them. I am always on the look out for nice used ones like yours. That is a really nice revolver that you can enjoy for the rest of your life without worrying about a ding or scratch. You will enjoy that gun more than waiting for a new in box safe queen to become worth a million bucks.

Another reason why I bought that particular model. If I buy a gun, I intend to take it out for some quality time out on the range, and I want something that'll last a while and won't be too expensive to replace.

New Mexico Detective gun.

My 19-3. I liked it so much that I bought it twice.
I purchased it from a co-worker, he had sellers remorse, I sold it back to him a couple of weeks later.
A year later I bought it again.
Not wanting to sell it back...
I had some Celtic knotwork engraving, Robar NP3 plus plated and added some stag grips from Eagle Grips.

My father in law was born in Cuba. It took a long time for him to be reunited with his family (cousins) in Miami. A fighter by all means and a huge hearth to share every thing with his loved ones.

What he enjoyed the most at the range was watching his grandson and grand daughters shooting. And of course after the range, a good meal at "La carreta" in Calle 8.

Those memories are his heritage to my kids, myself and my wife.

And of course his love for S&W handguns....:)

Model 19's are one of the best all around self-defense revolvers ever. Small and lite enough tp carry,, but feel like a real gun in your hand.

After 10+ years of collecting Ive been lucky to own four (4) 0f them. Two blued and two nickel finished.
Op, enjoy yours..
