I read that post about the son coming home and had to respond.
My son left on his 8th deployment on the Vinson. He is the Chief in charge of the maintenance on the cat's and the gear. I am sure he will have his hands full. At 9 months, this deployment is going to be longer than all of the others. He said this should be the last one and he was reluctant to go. We are looking forward to spring.

Maddog....I fervently hope and pray his eighth (8) deployment is a safe one......The repeat deployments seem to getting a bit much...I also hear that some of the National Guard units have mutable deployments....Yet we hear that a reduction in strength is forthcoming....Maybe this isn't the time for reduction of forces....May God take care of him and his crew mates
God bless and care for those who venture into harms way for our way of life......I understand some Marine unites are on their third tours in the sand box.

MADDOG, hope the Chief and his flight deck crew make a safe deployment. Working the deck is an arduous and dangerous job. I pray for his safe return.

That was me on the other post, I hope the time goes quickly, safely and your son is home before too long. Please thank him from me and my entire family.

I wish your son.... smooth sailing and a safe voyage, Godspeed.

Hope it goes well...

That's an important job he's doing and there's no question that he has to be good at it because they just don't let anybody be responsible for flyers and planes that depend on the cats. We hope this one goes well and he'll be safe and and have eight successful deployments under his belt.

I want to say thanks to ya'll for the prayers and well wishes. I will relay them to the Chief. Thanks again

People like your son are the true heroes of our land.

"May the sun shine upon his face and the wind be upon his back".

And tell him thank you from a grateful citizen.

Please pass our thanks on to him, and let him know that we appreciate the brave men and women giving up their time to stand the line for our country! Godspeed, fair winds and following seas!

My thoughts and prayers go with him at this time.

The world is in turmoil. It's only through the efforts and sacrifices of our military that we can chat here.
