Ok so it took a lot of years before it came to pass...
Not that I hadn't been looking, but with my passion for K frames......

A friend was paring down his collection and came up with this beautiful nickle 27-2 from 1977. No box or papers, lightly used and the finish in awesome condition. The price..well lets say well under what I think it's worth.

Had been shot, but not hard and a triple T gun.

Excuse the crappy pics, best i could do on short notice..I had just finished firing it to make sure it works, of course...and gave it a good cleaning.

Hopefully this is not your first handgun also!

Back when Dirty Harry movies came out , everyone and their brother , regardless of experience , just had to have "the most powerful handgun in the world" (untrue even then!).
They also bought a box of the hottest ammo they could find and were VERY unpleasantly surprised the first time they shot it!

Congratulations on purchasing that beautiful Model 27-2 Nickel 4 inch. What's really great about this is that the 4inch 27-2 is very rare and maybe only beat out in how rare by the 6.5 inch 27-2 so you started with the hardest one to acquire.

Beautiful! I hope it brings you many years of enjoyment.

Coincidentally, I bought my very first N-frame Smith in 1977; it was a new 4" blued Model 28 Highway Patrolman. A great revolver!
