My28-2 is finally home!

I don't look at my Model 28-2 as a "Highway Patrolman".

I call it an "Original Mountain Gun" that was mis-labeled at the factory.

I have a Model 625 .45 ACP Mountain Gun and a Model 29 Mountain Gun. Hummmm, same holster...all three guns. Yep, its the original Mountain Gun.

Great score and one fine piece of equipment gunny4053.

You guys are killing me! I can't afford the 18-3 I have on layaway now and you put these kind of pics up there? Now I want another 28-2. Yes, I 'm aware I should just exercise some self control, but you're killing me!

Excuse my ignorance, but a holster with an exposed trigger? Not quite sure I have seen one, but damn does it look great with that gun. I do see that the hammer is retained in place.

Wow! chud333 thats the best looking Highway Patrolman I have ever seen!

Most service style holsters leave the trigger exposed. This one was actually in a box of Police exchange leather from the local PD.

The funny thing about this whole rig, gun and all, was another guy in the shop thought it was rather impressive as well and offered me $700 on the spot. I could use the money, but just couldn't bring myself to do it.

Sorry Pal, no such luck. I'm already wishing I could find a 6" model to go with the 4", and the search for another 686 CS-1 continues. There is no justice. ;)
