I had no luck selling this locally so thought I would offer it here before it goes to auction. This is a VERY nice S Prefix S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman in .357 Magnum. It is S#S237129 with original blue finish and matching numbered diamond checkered magna stocks. Any flaws in the photos (other than the slight turn line) are from the lighting or oil - the gun is beautiful. There is one issue with the gun - the rear sight leaf is checkered. I hadn't even noticed that until today. I do know that is how it was when I obtained the gun and the finish matches perfectly. Whether this was the factory using a Model 27 sight leaf or a previous owner installing it - I have no idea. The price is $800 shipped. I will need to ship to an FFL (C&R is ok on this one too).
