Assuming you are loading .357 Mag cases, Hornady 9th edition shows VIHT N-110 with 158 gr. XTP bullets start at 11.4 gr. and 13.1 gr. MAX. This is with a Win. small pistol magnum primer. Hornady likes this powder for .357 mag loads saying it provides near top velocities with less flash and blast than other slow burning magnum powders.

Speer #14 shows start at 13.5 gr. and 15.0 gr. MAX using their 158 gr. jacketed bullets and a CCI # 500 std. small pistol primer. Speer says N110 is excellent for .357 Mag with standard CCI primers.

Lyman 49th edition shows a start at 11.5 gr. and 14.0 gr. MAX with a Hornady # 35750 (158 gr. XTP HP) and a CCI # 550 magnum primer.

Be aware that this is a short cut extruded (stick) powder and may not meter well through all powder measures. I have loaded a very few rounds with N110 but hand weighed each charge.

The usual precautions apply- verify these loads elsewhere, start low and work up, etc. Please look into investing in a loading manual or three.

N110 is my favorite for high end .357 158 loads, have had no trouble metering with the '55, haven't tried it on the 550 yet, but I don't anticipate any problems.

As a rule, I don't load WOT loads on the 550, I generally set up a couple tenths under max, depending on what I'm loading, just because...

Am using N110 with Hdy 158 xtp for accuracy load in 357 mag 6 inchers. Took Speer's advice and used standard primers.
