Received my N82 (squared) Pro holster for my shield 9mm. First impressions are fantastic. Top quality assembly and materials. It is sooooooo comfortable. I like the single clip design, makes tucking a shirt much easier. Definitely replacing the "super-tuck" style holster that I had prior.

Now my only issue. The retention system on this holster requires a slight twist of the gun on the draw. Simple enough and I have no problem with it.

However, I am finding that the due to the twist, the front sight of the shield scrapes badly against the inside of the holster during the last 1/2" of the draw as it exits the holster. I've gouged the **** out of the plastic in only a few draws. I'm aware of it now and I'm a bit more careful on the draw. We'll see how it goes over the long term. This could be a problem for someone planning to practice a lot or in competition (IDPA).

Thanks for the insight. Finding a proper holster w/retention that doesn't mark the gun or holster is always a struggle. That is why some people have so many.

Owned my n82 for a long while now. I have not experienced this issue with mine. I am not sure why. Friend has no issue with his as well.. You are correct, this holster is fantastic and it made my supertuck sit in the drawer..

I received my N82 Pro for my Shield 9mm.. and I like it well enough, still not in love with it, although much of that has to do with being a bit overweight, so anything IWB is not the best option. I do prefer my OWB holster at the moment, and once I shed some pounds I will be using the N82 Pro.. I have not used it enough to notice if it is scratching on the front sight.

I also have the N82 Tactical Pro for my Shield 9 and have not had any issues yet. And I even have the TruGlo TFO sights.
