I ordered one for my Shield. It's supposed to be here Monday? I'll give a review once I've carried it for a little while. Anyone else using one?

I have one for a Shield 9mm and really love it. I have never been a big IWB carry person but have found that the N82 Pro is comfortable and works well for me.

The only twist is getting used to the twist to draw the weapon.

You have to turn the butt in toward your side to draw due to the built in retention device. The up side to that is that it has built in retention and it really is easy to get used to.

Great product from a great company. I carry my 40c under a T-shirt in the summer in Fl. comfortably. It's easy to adjust when sitting or getting in and out of a car. It is a little slow to draw compared to OWB but with practice it is acceptable.

Count me in as another very satisfied customer of N82 Tactical.
As stated above, there is a learning curve to getting the gun out. The way I taught myself is to put the thumb by the slide between you and the gun, twist just a little clockwise, and voila..the gun is out. Now I don't even think about it when I pull the gun from the holster; it is just second nature for me. I am also very happy with the quality of this fine American made product.

Thanks, fella's! I'm currently carrying an Alien Gear. And have absolutely no complaints with it at all. I just like the fact that with the N82 there's 100% coverage for the gun. With the AG, a t-shirt (undershirt) is a must. Otherwise, the grip is in contact with your skin. And I'm in hot and humid GA. My only hope is that the N82 is as comfortable as the AG? But I like what I've read and heard.

I'll be interested in the review once you've worn it a bit. I've got an Alien Gear that I don't often use because I don't find it very comfortable. I particularly like the comment that the N82 is easy to adjust on the fly, the Alien resists this and sitting down in a car with bucket seats can be pretty unpleasant.

I have a drawer full of holsters and about 2 years ago I tried the N82! I was charring a Ruger LC380 in Florida and Shorts and a T shirt are uniform of the day.
I tried an Allie Gear and although it was very well made I couldn't wear it comfortably. I was use to N8!
I now have a S&W Shield 9mm with a LaserMax and it rides my hip in an N8 every day and I sometimes forget it is there. I've had it now for over a year and it is a good as it was when new!
You'll find it to be very comfortable and durable!.

You say that you have a Shield with a LaserMax so I am guessing that you are not using the Pro IWB as I emailed Nate last week and he said they did not have a holster for a Shield with trigger guard laser and had no plans to make one in the future. I did buy the original IWB and it was very comfortable and easy to draw from but impossible to reholster the gun as the elastic band that hold the gun would get squished flat by my belt.

Im wearing a kydex leather holster its nice and all but in having problems drawing it. Trying to swap out belts and wear it more, but it was nice having the comfort of n82 pro of twist and draw. Downside being that your hand wasnt totally on the gun and you had to adjust, but your gun being stuck in the holster isnt going to be any better : )

I may be buyijg another n82

I've been carrying my Shield in that holster for almost 2 years now. Very comfortable.

Only gripe, the front sight is very sharp and drawing repeatedly has scratched and gouged the plastic at the top of the holster.

I love my N82 Pro holster. Talked to them at the NRA show in Nashville, TN this year.. Nice group of people. I picked up another N82 Pro holster at the show for my latest carry gun (Sig 938).
By far they are the most comfortable holsters made. No need to wear a shirt under them. Plus I like the fact that no part of the gun touches my skin (sensitive skin) and it is sweat proof. Win win!

When I wear IWB the N82 pro is the only one I like. I rarely carry that way anymore but its a great holster in terms of comfort.

After almost 20 years of trying different IWB holsters, the N82 original is the only one that works for me. I wear my 638 in it - an hour each way to work, 8 hours on my feet and then home again. I noticed they did raise their prices since I bought mine....

Do you have problems putting the gun back in it or is it just me? Might just be wearing my pants to tight to keep them up. Don

I had one of their pro models. It was very comfortable. Did not like the way you have to twist the gun to draw. I would actually pull the holster loose. Did not work for me. Sold it and bought a Steath Gear instead.

I love their holsters, but I don't care for the Professional version. I prefer the Original. To me, it is more comfortable and the draw is unimpeded. I keep saying this, but really, how often do you remove and put your pistol back into the holster during the day unless you are practicing your draw??

Plus, the Original can be used for several different pistols.

After a shooting when the LEOs show up you don't want to be standing there with gun in hand or looking like you are trying to draw a gun when you are really struggling to get it re holstered. Don

This is a pretty rare possibility. How many times is the average person going to be involved in a shooting? I would like to be able to get my holster out quickly--the thought of putting it back in is a minor concern.

But, all you do it pull out the holster, put the pistol in it and put it back in the waistband. At most, it takes a few seconds. Long before anyone arrives at the scene.

I've had the N82 Pro for @ 1 week now, for my M&P 40c. Thus far, I'm impressed with its comfort and concealability. The "twist" to draw the pistol from the holster is very slight, which was one of my concerns. For me, the act of securing the grasp of the pistol as I draw, alows me to use thumb as a bit of a fulcrum point to "pop" the pistol out. It's more intuitive and slick that I thought it would be, while still being very secure. The holster for the compact also fits my full size. Very happy so far.

After following this thread with interest as well as doing some outside reading I just ordered an N82 Original Tuckable for my Shield. The Professional sounds like a fine holster, but the more I thought about it the less I like the retention feature. Getting a shirt out of the way would give me plenty to worry about in an incredibly stressful situation and easy reholstering is far lower on my list than easy draw.

Sure hope this won't be another for "the drawer."
