Name the Puppy (New member of the family)

I'd forget the gun thing and go with Lucky. [/QUOTE said:
It's not a good idea to name a dog or cat "Lucky" It seems to bring the worst luck down on them..

He does look a bit foxy... Reynard has some "class" and is used to refer to male foxes..

WTH, He won't care

I would go with Hondo, he looks like a Hondo to me. He also looks to be a Yellow Lab/Shepherd mix. If so, I would strongly suggest that you make sure he stays because Lab mixes are the best dogs you can find. I had a Lab/Terrier mix for 14 years who was pretty ugly but the favorite of the whole neighborhood and smart as hell. Took me exactly 9 days to housebreak him as a puppy and you couldn't ask for a better friend.

morsecode

(okay, now that I think about it, it doesn't really roll off the tongue does it?)

Still, better than Cajun-lawyer

One of the best dogs I've had was a "mutt." He too found his way to our house when I was about 14. I heard him whimpering from behind several rolls of hog wire fencing and went over to see what it was. There he was, hungry, cold and scared. So, we took him in and I named him Sparky. Turns out the name fit him later on when he got older because the hair on his back would stand up when he was in guard dog mode. Anyway, since I'm an expert dog namer :) I'd call him Jethro.

I've always wanted a dog named Ranger. However, if the cat's named Ruger, then Sturm is only appropriate.

How about the name DiOGi? Several years ago, a local k9 sheriff's deputy and his k9 were killed in an ambush. The deputy's name was Matt Williams and his k9 was named DiOGi which spells out dog. They were part of the Polk County Sheriffs Department.

First I thought "Scout" cause there are probably others that he is checking the scene for.

But if that is not the case then "K Frame"

It sounds like he chose you. I always give my dogs people names. That's a handsome dog. I'd call him 'George'.
