NASA won't allow the Boeing capsule to return with passengers

I took them this long.....

...because they didn't want to state the obvious. So I'll state it for them. "We failed to provide a reliable spacecraft. We flew people to the ISS and can't depend on the Starliner to bring them back so we will have to use alternate means."

PS: This reminds me that Grumman, who built the lunar landers, sent NASA an itemized bill for using the LEM as a liferaft for bringing the Apollo 13 crew back home.

No. I can't Too many from many nations have lost their lives due to the quirks of space flight.

This shows one of the problems with space flight...no lifeboats...no plans to rescue...no way to rescue.

LOL, Lloyd's probably wouldn't touch that one with a 10 foot pole!
Is Vegas even taking odds yet?

I think one or some of the Lloyd's syndicates might sign on to a policy. The premium would be exactly the cost they estimate they would incur if the the spacecraft and astronauts were lost, plus an additional amount for any collateral losses that they could possibly think of associated with a loss of the spacecraft.
