I have to watch what I eat, manageable case of diabetes. Last and only time I was in a Waffle House was San Antonio 1997. My last bike trip. Sure wish we had one around here. That and a Long John Silvers.

I think I'll make us some tomorrow morning.
No, wait! I'll take the War Department out for breakfast!
But, homemade waffles are sooo good; I will definitely stay home and make them here.
Then again, it IS a great local diner that we like a lot. I guess we'll do that.

I have recently beEn really into polls for some reason...

So how about a friendly debate on whether waffles or pancakes rule the breakfast world, eh?

This is not a discussion of what other breakfast items you enjoy (literally everyone loves bacon) or a debate about what you SHOULD eat in the mornings. Just a simple poll - waffles or pancakes? If anyone says they prefer crepes, they will be judged harshly. Just kidding!

I'll be the first vote. WAFFLES!

No Waffle House hereabouts; only Denny's, IHOP, and Huddle House (yuck!). Well, there are a bunch of expensive specialty breakfast only cafes which in my experience have okay food at very high prices. Oh, and I also forgot Crack Barrel - okay food at moderate prices.

Used to hit Waffle House occasionally but about a year ago they hiked prices and while the food is ok, I'm not willing to fork over what they're asking these days for WH grade food. Too many other decent places around.

Years ago--many years ago--Huddle House was a great breakfast place. Now, not so much. I suppose even Waffle House was good . . . once.

For me its the salty fried chicken mixed with the sweet syrupy waffles. This place tops it with bacon and scallions.

Wife always rolled her eyes until she tried it.

Now we both get it. Wash it down with an icy cold Coors
