Guess I'll kick this off today rather then tomorrow. The date is October 1st from 10am till 4pm (NEW TIME-TAKE NOTE). I think it will be easier ending at 4pm for people to get home that have to travel. It will be at North Olmsted Sportsmen Club, 5742 Bradley road North Olmsted, Ohio. Search NOSC online, directions will follow as I bump the post.
FOOD, same as before, bring a plate of something to share. It worked out good last time, there was plenty of food for everyone to munch on. If you bring something that requires plates or plastic forks, bring em with you, my supply will be limited.
Guns, bring you're favorite S&W's to show, I'm sure there are some new guns purchased since the Apr. meeting. If you have S&W's to sell bring them also as well as grips, boxes or S&W related items. Tables will be provided, there will be abt 20-8ft at the club. Don't forget to bring a friend or anyone interested in S&W's
Please, if anyone can post the flyer you got via e-mail post it for me if you know how. I have no clue.
Admission will be 2.00 this time. Left over money will be divided btwn the club and the forum. I will provide pop and coffee with this money. I'll also ask for donations for the forum.
I'll add things as I think of them to bump the post. If people that attend make new friends or renew old friendships or just have a good time talkin S&W's then this was worth it. There were just over 50 people at the last one, hoping for more this fall.
A special thanks to Jim T. for all the help. We may have T-shirts available, working on it right now. Have a nice Sunday, Larry

The last show was my first and I thoroughly enjoyed it and I've been looking forward to the next. Good people good food and guns, whats not to like! Hey Larry, the tees were a great idea but remember to get them in middle age guy size, did I mention good food.

Keith

I'll be there..

looks like I might have to break out the smoker again...lol

This isn't only for NE Ohio S&W nuts, its for any S&W enthusiast. Remember, if you have a long drive and you want to share it with someone, bring him or them or you're wife. The t shirts are in the think it thru stage. It will most likely be pick a size (carefully), and pay up front. All the people that order one will pick it up at the meeting. If we order it at the meeting with some to try on first, I'd have to mail them and would have to charge shipping. Not sure I'd want to mail them out! Not sure there are many S&W bunches. The NW bunch hasn't been active lately but the SW bunch (Tulsa) is very huge. They have abt 90 people and my goal is to have 100 people attend and have a bigger group then they have. Help me out. Keith Brown traveled abt 3 hours to attend, I think he was the furthest away. Kritter made some killer smoked pulled pork for the Apr bunch, hope he remembered how he did it. If you have any questions, post them here and I'll answer it for everyone to see. Directions will follow in a few days. Tom H has the best collection of "J" frames in the country and has only displayed at this meeting. I'll call him to see what this display will be. Hopefully Joe Cebull will be able to make it and have display cases for sale and the inserts he's famous for. Dan Tanko should chime in also. Tell people you know on the forum and let them know this is happening. This will be S&W collectors, NOSC members, forum members and gun show people. Spread the word, Larry

Larry... thanks for your call and suggestions on how to start a S&W club in Oklahoma. Good luck with your meeting in October. If there were a way I'd attend, but I'm afraid it's a bit of a jump from OK to OH! (not counting the alphabet!)

Kritter SAYS it was "pork"
it was awesome.and yes, there was all kinds of "stuff", not just guns, parts, boxes, paperwork, you name it.............
Hope to see all you guys again, and some 'other' NEW faces........

Jack, you normally catch this post right after I do it, glad you're coming for the pork. We did have a good assortment of food there. If this is you're first visit, try to be creative with some food to share. If you need ideas, explain this to a female and she'll know what to bring. Glad to see people coming from other states, finally! There was a recent post from Michigan on a shoot and meet. Not too far, I invited them to this bunch and didn't get a response. When this post gets to the 2nd or 3rd page help me bump it for exposure. If you see a forum member from Ohio or a close area in another state PM them to let em know abt the bunch, maybe they'll attend. Thanks, Larry

I made the post suggesting a Michigan get together. We are still talking about it.
Would like to come to Ohio but it's way too far to arrange at short notice.
Wisconsin and even parts of Minnesota are closer for me.

Tony and Bill, hope you can both make it. Bill, finally got the ppc gun from Jim Balog. I'm happy with it so far, will shoot it tomorrow. Again, if you see someone from Ohio on the forum, PM them and send them here in the lounge. Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow. Having a shootin picnic in Astabula at the Solon gun club. Should be fun. Larry

Directions, no matter what route you come from get to I-480 and go west. 480 ends west 1 exit past where you will get off. You'll pass Cleve Hopkins Airport. Get off at the Stearns Crocker exit and go right (north). The first red light is Lorain, turn left. About 1 mile is Barton rd, turn right. At the first stop sign is Bradley rd, turn right. Its on the right side of Bradley after abt 4-5 ranch homes, turn right. For the GPS users its at 5742 Bradley in beautiful North Olmsted Ohio. Its abt 3 miles off 480. Larry

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Good news, Tom H will display pre-war I frames in various calibers. Some are rare target versions. He has the nicest J & I frame collection in the world and only displays in North Olmsted. He'll have abt 35 guns on his table. Thanks Tom, Can't wait to see them. Larry

I'll put the date on my books but it is too early for me to commit.
Missed the last one - hopefully this one I can attend!
