nectar of the gods

Lemonade in the summer on a hot day. Hot Ovaltine on a cold winter day. Brunello di Montalcino for a special dinner with a special lady. I buy a case of the best Brunello to hold for the future. When the wine is bottled, I buy a case and hold it for at least 5 years. The 2008 I just bought won't be touched until at least 2019. I wish I could afford two cases each year instead of just one.

Then there is my Mastroberardino Lacryma Christi Del Vesuvio; both red and white.

Currently my steady beer selection is
Apocalypse IPA and O.G. from 10 barrels.

I usually have rotating selection almost always IPAs.

Last summer it was Sierra Nevada Flipside red IPA.
Deschutes inversion IPA is always popular.
New Belgium Ranger IPA
Bridgeport beervana pack is in our beer cellar.

Plus many many more.

I save the sides of the 12 packs and use them instead of dry wall in my garage. Building a beer themed man cave

"nectar of the gods means beer"
I started to comment on this, but some claim I'm too negative already, so I'll just say that I've never "acquired" a taste for it.

When it comes to microbrews, I normally stick to stouts and porters, but from time to time I'll buy lagers and blondes.

My all-time favorite beer is New Holland's Dragon's Breath bourbon barrel stout

To quench my thirst: Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry (chilled in the frig.)

And when I have the time and think of it, tap water and ice cubes out of the vintage aluminum pitcher and tumbler (we have good water). Nothing that I drink seems to get as cold as that and stop a thirst quicker. Why is that?

Hasn't changed since the last time this got asked, Red Koolaid

Summit Extra Pale Ale (St. Paul) or Bell's Two-Hearted Ale (Kalamazoo). That's for beer.

The true Nectar of the Gods is Overholt over store ice, not that nasty chlorinated stuff you make in your fridge.

Deschutes Black Butte Porter is my house beer. I've had some mighty fine local Oatmeal Stouts, too (Big Time Brewery is one that is just plain delicious!).

In the evening though, a good singe malt or Kentucky Bourbon can't be beat!

St. Pauley Girl.

Various "micro brews."

On a nice warm day, good ol' PBR ain't bad either!

For me, Nectar of the Gods, would be Laphroiag 10 year old Single Malt Scotch...

Nothing else even comes close...

NOTHING.

You my friend are a gutsy drinker! Not many share the same palate as Prince Charles (Chuck as Laphroiag drinkers refer to him) and I admire those who do.

I myself love a good cheap beer in the heat of summer and a good microwbrew spring and fall. Winter is Bourbon time.

Hot Ovaltine on a cold winter day, what do you drink in the summer Moxie.:D:D:D

Nectar of the gods is Johnnie Walker Double Black.
Mostly I drink lots of Diet Coke and black coffee.
I don't drink much beer but when I do it's Natural Light. It's cheap but
very good...for beer that is. I used to buy it at drugstores and grocery
stores for 14.99 for 30 packs on sale. I wondered how in the world
AB could sell beer for $.50 each and make money. It's gone up like
everything else but can still be bought sometimes for 15.99 for 30.
Amazing.
