Need a little help

I'm thinking about selling one of my guns...S & W 1700SL 270, with a nice scope & a really nice carry strap (leather) and was wondering about how much it might be worth.
My first hubby used it a couple of times for deer hunting back in the late 80's and it was last shot 3 yrs. ago when my grandson shoot all of my guns (16?). It is in really good condition & has been kept cleaned & covered either in the gun case or gun cabinet.

I appreciate any help.
Have a fella who might be interested in it for his daughter since she wants to hunt.

Welcome to the Forum. From your description, I would extimate your S&W Model 1700LS rifle to be worth approx. $500, plus the value of the scope. Scopes can range from $50 to $750, depending on manufacturer & quality, etc. If it's the usual mid-range, valuewise, you see on most hunting rifles, it should add about $200 -$250 to the overall package of the rifle & scope. Ed.
