Just purchased a Saiga 12 semi auto shotgun at the Indy 1500 show last weekend. Got the 10 rd mag with it. There are a number of drum magazines on the market, and I want one. None are original manufacture by the maker of the gun, the way some of the box magazines are. Does anyone have any knowledge of drum mags for the Saiga 12 that are good buys? Advice on which to avoid would be helpful too.

I am also interested in getting a folding stock/pistol grip stock for it. The standard stock doesn't feel right. Any advice on that would be appreciated.

Surefire stick mags work well, I have four of them and all have been fine. I have heard AGP mags are good, but I have no experience with them. The best are the factory mags, but they are expensive.

The MD-20 drum has the best reputation. AA makes a drum, but a lot of guys have had to make extensive modifications to their guns to get it to work.

There are two ways to go for the pistol grip/folding stock mod. Tapco makes a unit that just replaces the buttstock, but IMO, it looks a bit "off". You can also move the trigger group back to its original position, put on a pistol grip, and use one of many folding or fixed stocks. It is not that hard to do, grind off a couple welds, drill out a coouple of pins and then just replace the parts. Lots of Saiga info here.
