Need Clips

Welcome to the forum. Since you are new to this you will learn a lot here.

Try Tactical Vantage for your mags. Do not be afraid to pick up the 10 round mags as they can be converted to 32 round mags in a couple of minutes. These are usually more available than hi-caps.

You seriously need to start reading the posts or use the search feature on this forum before asking questions. And they're not called clips, they're called magazines.
You mean like Time or News Week? :D

Just depends which magazine you prefer. I have had no trouble finding the Plinker mags which are 35 rounds. Anywhere from $25-$40. I found a few Black Dog 50 round drums as well. I have a local store that has the Plinker Taticals in stock for $35. If you can't find any, PM me, and I'll grab you a couple and ship them to you.

Ps. Careful with the word "Clip" here. Some guys over look it and respond anyway, while others will chew your head off for not referring to them as "Magazines". As you can see, I'm not one of those guys lol

Have you found Black dog drum mags for around 70-80 bucks or just overinflated prices? I've had no luck finding them at the pre-craze price.

Just because idiots get it wrong doesn't mean everyone has to.

They are called magazines. It is what they are. Calling them something else leads to confusion and misunderstandings. Like I said in a similar topic previously, go onto a Lee Enfield forum and ask for help with your clip when you mean your magazine. (hint, it uses both)

Next time someone asks for help with an extractor but means ejector or his handguard but means stock are you gonna let those go without correcting them either?

People calling things by the wrong name is how we end up with people making laws about "the shoulder thing that goes up".

My dad calls them clips, always has. When I say magazine he says "you mean clip?" And I just go along with it. Its all the same, we know what you're talking about

^^^^^^^^^^
Maybe you aren't paying attention, they aren't anywhere near the same...

That's like saying the gas pump and gas tank are the same thing.

Your dad is wrong, you should educate him, not Hollywood.

Oh, and if anyone didn't notice, that clip doesn't fit that magazine.

Blasted from my Samsung Galaxy SIII (CM10.1 Masta Mix).

I know they're not really the same, but we know what they're talking about. That's what my grandpa called em, and that's what he calls him. I've told him before its magazine but he's stuck in his ways

I can't say what my grandpa used to call non whites. Doesn't mean it is worth repeating.

It isn't snobbery, nor is it elitism. Like I said, call it the right thing or you won't get the right information.

The reason for DOING THAT,is for keeping everyone eqill on the playing field when it comes to describing something about a problem.

Every part and function has a proper name or discription to go by for a reason...

I also noticed those same know-it-all types to be dangerous on the range.

Actually its not a gun or a rifle....it's a firearm!!! :)

You are all wrong - Diane Feinstein said it was an "Assault Weapon"

Anyway - Welcome to the forum, Pete Parisi. There is a lot of good information here. Don't be afraid to ask questions (but try to use the search first) - and don't worry about the jabs - it's all in good fun.

When I saw the thread title, I knew there would be a high post count from the gun Nazis. I have heard both used interchangeably since the 1950s. Technically there is a difference. Is it really that earth shattering? Unless you were in the military, you may not know the difference between your rifle and your gun.

Not picking on you, Pete, but a word of advice for anyone who buys a new gun...

Before you begin posting questions, and DEFINITELY before you shoot it, the first evening you get it home sit down with the gun in your lap and the owner's manual in your hands. Read it, and refer to the gun as you go along.

Yeah, it will take a bit of time, but:
-- It will answer probably 95% of all your "new owner" questions, straight from the horse's mouth and not some self-appointed online expert;
-- It will give you proper terms for every piece, part and thingamabob on the gun, allowing people who may be able to answer your other questions to know what the heck you are talking about; and,
-- It may save your life, or that of innocent bystanders, by giving you all the safety info you need right off the bat rather than after a potentially unpleasant "oops".

If for some reason your gun comes without a manual, get one. Any manufacturer will send you one, and most will have manuals on their websites. Manuals can even be found for many antique guns, long discontinued.

Keep a close eye on GunBroker.com. It's auction style sells, but I saw one sell two days ago for $90-$92, before shipping. I am waiting to see if these inflated prices reduce anytime soon.
