I have been looking at a couple of loads from Georgia Arms and Double Tap. I have heard a few things, none bad, about both. I'd like to broaden my potential feedback pool, and this is a darned big pool of members.

FWIW, I am seeking revolver ammo loaded with SWCs in 38,41, and 45AR.

Another satisfied Ga Arms customer here, to the tune of many tens of thousand of rounds over a 20 year period.

Great folks to deal with.

Regards,

Pat

I'm a huge fan of Double Tap ammo. I feel they make a quality product at a lower price than most of the other small specialty ammo producers. (like Buffalo Bore)

Nothing wrong with Georgia Arms but I don't feel they are anywhere near the quality of Double Tap.

Thanks for the info so far.

I am looking specifically at the .38 LSWC (I did not see a +P variant other than the LSWC-HP) and the .41 LSWC @ 800 from GA, and the .38 +P LSWC @ 1000 and 45AR 255 LSWC @ 900 from DT. The photo of the latter looks a little odd, but I think it is perspective. I wish Black Hills loaded those, but no such luck.

Any knowledge of leading problems, etc?

Most lead bullet that are kept below 1000 fps don't even have to be all that hard not to lead the barrel. I wouldn't worry about leading with the ammo you mentioned.

Ga. Arms ammo is very good. I have used it in 9mm, .38 Special, .45 ACP and 5.56mm. Their Canned Heat in these calibers have in my firearms given excellent on target results and perfect function. I have no personal experience with DT.

georgia arms

I have been dealing with Georgia arms for several years and found the ammo of excellent quality. I order the can heat for .40 cal s&w of 1000 at a time. You get a better deal with the bulk ammo price. I have never had a malfunction whatsoever in the years I have been using their reloads and their shipping is quick within a week of my orders.
