Need good gunsmith in Los Angeles

Hi, I am new to the forum here... I just picked up the M&P Shield and need to have the Apex duty/carry kit install done. I would attempt it myself but I lack the experience and tools needed to have the job done correctly.

Can anyone recommend a dependable gunsmith in the Los Angeles area that HAVE INSTALLED this Apex kit into an actual M&P before?...And the job needs to be CLEAN... with no scratches!

I would try to keep it local, but if it needs to be sent out of state, then I would consider that too.

ANY information would be greatly appreciated!

If you're up for shipping it, why not send it to the makers and let Apex install and perhaps perform an action service on it? They're in California, if I recall.

Otherwise, in L.A., some names that come up often are: Bolsa Gunsmithing in Wesminster -- they're a factory certified warranty station for S&W; Alan Tanaka; and Jim Hoag.

These are all big names -- the last two especially -- for what is a relatively small and straightforward parts swap, though. You might consider a local armorer who's S&W certified on the M&P; should be easy to find and they'd be more than capable -- and cheaper.

I had no idea that Apex provided the install service....I will look into it! And thank you for the other names... I have heard of Bolsa Gunsmithing and will likely check them out as well...
