This was my grandfathers packed away for many, many years. Stamped PIC Decatur, Ga. Made in Germany. Stamped 51739, Cal. 32 S&W 1g. Theres also a stamp that looks like a small little z. Another stamp is a strange symbol with 89 at the end. Any help to identify will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Buggs

Looks like an RG to me. I've never seen "PIC" before, but it was imported from Germany and I bet it was made by Rohm. Please don't take offense to this but these guns are absolute garbage. This is the definitive "Saturday Night Special"
Oddly enough, because of their notoriety, they actually sell for more than you think they would be worth on Gunbroker. (By more I mean you might get almost $100 for it) Go to GB and type in "RG" or "Rohm" or "Clerke" and you will see what I mean.

Thanks Twaits for your response. And no offense was taken. But can you date this model. I went on GB and really could not locate a model like this.

Thanks again

For some reason, I recall the nomenclature "PIC" associated with Swiss mfg. I am not familiar with this gun, but that may be a lead to look in the Swiss direction. Good luck.

Here's mine

This one was made with the even-more-rare factory original nickel/blue (Pinto) finish.... :)

According to Buggs it says "Made in Germany" on it so it isn't Swiss.
As for date I can only guess. These kind of guns were pumped out by the millions in the 60s. I think GCA '68 may have caused a lot of them to be banned from importation. Thats when American companies like Raven, Jennings and Clerke sprung up to fill the void of cheap handguns.
(Although Ravens and Jennings are actually fairly reliable for what they are, expecially the Raven)

Thats a beauty! I especially like the fancy finger groove grip frame.
You should put some nice adjustable sights on that thing. Maybe give it a nice trigger job :)
