This is a Lady Smith .357 Model 60-9. I am guessing from the late 90's. My question is if the hammer came like this from the factory or did someone file it. it looks extremly professionally done.

It doesn't look factory original but I'm not a revolver expert. Probably some one got snagged once too often & decided to rectify that. Oh, and welcome from Wisconsin!

Welcome from Texas tw6699. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Probably not factory, but it would take a factory letter to be sure.

Welcome from Louisville. Looks to me as if Bubba has been at work, but I could easily be wrong, as I often am.

It wouldn't bother me, as before I began carrying a concealed hammer snubby I carried one on which I had had a gunsmith bob the hammer; but I'm sure you could order a new hammer if you prefer one with the spur.
