Need Help

I just put a set of finger groove grips on my S&W 21-4 Thunder Ranch 44spl. I took her to the range, now Iam getting misfires because the firing pin will not set-off the primer. I have not changed anything and the grips are not binden in any. help

Make sure the mainspring stain screw is fully screwed in, mine would back out all by itself and I had to use locktite to keep it in. Also if you are reloading for it make sure your primer pockets are clean and the primer is fully seated. These frame mounted fireing pins dont seem to have the same power as the hammer mounted type and have gave me problems with my 21 and 22. I dont really see how a grip change could affect ignition but weirder things have occured.

Put the original grips back on. If the problem goes away. . .
