Need Help

My name is aaron I am looking for a BENNO HUENE engraved revolver for sale...my wife of 8 years now is sarah huene granddaughter of benno huene and daughter of benno huene jr. We dont have much left from her grandfather. she would like to add one of his revolver to our collection it would have a great deal of sentimental value to her. I would also appreciate anyone posting pictures of benno engraved guns for sale or not. Thank you

Aaron, I knew your wife's grandfather casually back in the 60s & 70s. I always stopped at his shop in Bridgeport, CA., on my annual deer hunting trips to Lassen County, CA., from San Diego. A friend of mine, and early member of the S&W Collector's Assoc was Bill Croxton ( now deceased ). Bill exhibited at several of our annual meetings a beautiful Model 60 S&W revolver, fully engraved by Benno and also had ivory scrimshawed grips decorated by Benno. There's a picture of that gun in the book " American Engravers " by Roger Bleile., page 70, as you may know. If I recall correctly, Benno was also a painter of wildlife scenes and a number of those efforts were hanging on the walls of his store. He was a talented artist and engraver.
