Just got my CCW and looking to start carrying concealed. I am wanting something light and easy to conceal so I decided on my Model 60 .357

Just looking for some suggestions on a good IWB holster for her. I am LEFT handed and almost all holsters are going to be special ordered, never in stock.

Don't know if should be canted, straight angle, etc... thinking kydex or leather? I like the idea of a clip because I can't be removed easily and not belted in.

Thanks for looking.

Try Tucker Gunleather, they make one just for the J frame,it's adjustable for height and the cant,so you can try different degrees of cant.I have one for my 36 and love it.

I like those little Bianchi Pro 100 holsters. They clip onto any weight pants and you can adjust them as needed.

I use Side Guard Holsters for IWB carry. They are very well made. You can order different degrees of cant. Mine has 10 degrees of cant. You can get one with a clip or a J hook that goes overyour pants and hooks under your belt.

Thanks for the help guys, I am on there websites now checking them out... Have you ever tried SOB w/ a J frame. I figured it would be comfortable until you try to sit down?

I'm lefty as well. I have found the Mernickle Holsters is accomodating to us since the couple that owns the company are both left-handed.

Their holsters are comfortable and well made. I have ordered a number of holsters from them. Check out their website. mernickleholsters.com

I have also had good luck with Comp-Tac. Turn around time was quick and the minotaur holster is IWB and tuckable at a decent price.

Hope this helps...

I didn't want to reply due to time, but respect for my fellow man compels me. Weever, please don't carry SOB. Here are a few reasons why. It's hard to protect from someone bumping you in a crowd and discovering your piece. That position is a weapon retention nightmare (you're already halfway into an armlock). If an assailant is on top of you and you're pinned on your back, you cannot reach your piece. It's next to impossible to keep from printing if you have to bend over, and more important than all the above reasons combined, if you get knocked off your feet in a fight, or slip, you could recieve serious and permanent spinal damage. It has happened many, many times before. Try appendix carry 1:00 to 2:00 for a right hand shooter, or just behing the hip (4:00 for a righty). Those positions work far better for most everyone. If they don't work for you, belt carry probably isn't your best choice.

The J frame snubby is one of the best choices for appendix IWB carry. I carry mine with Barami grips. Obviously wrong handed folks can't carry that way, but there are plenty of companies that make left handed holsters that will carry quite comfortably AIWB. My personal preference is for leather. I have one I bought off a holster maker on ebay that puts the belt clip in front of the gun for a flatter profile. It's my most comfortable AIWB holster. Raven Concealment also makes a AIWB holster. I don't have it, but I have their Phantom holster for my duty Sig with light and it is the most comfortable kydex IWB/OWB holster I have owned so far.

IWB J holsters

A big +1 for Side guard Holsters. I have a Minimalist Snap and its perfect for my needs. very comfortable and easy on/off. I Carry at about 3:30 and can hardly tell its there even sitting.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't even think about falling to the ground and having spinal issues, I don't want to mess with that boat. The arm being in a 1/2 lock is also a thing that I didn't consider.

So far the Bianchi 100 pro in leather is what I am leaning towards. They are suede lined to help with comfort and seem to have great reviews. Didn't seem to shabby for $50.00

All my buddies tell me Kydex, kydex, kydex, but it seems that they are pretty uncomfortable when I tried them on in the store, the "flex" of leather seemed more natural to me...

I dunno.. decisions decisions.

I use a simple suede type clip on IWB holster for when I want to carry a J frame IWB. It cost me five bucks off Ebay. I think it was made by the National Holster Company. Works about as well any of the clip on IWBs that I've had, though if you want such, you might also want to try Vega, made in Italy and not widely distributed here - but worth looking for, as the clips can be reversed.

I usually just stick J frames either in my pocket or attached to my armor.

Kholster

I like the kholster. You can get it in either left or right handed. Adjust the cant to almost horizontal. I wear my 645 several hours a day in mine and forget that it is there. Also you can tuck your shirt in and it does not print what so ever. Added bonus is Jimmy is good to deal with and cares about the customer...also priced right !..Hope this helps in making a decision. Check out his website at Kholster.com :)

Don't get Kydex it will wear a hole in your hip. Works great with longer guns, had one for my Glock I loved but got one for a J-frame and hate it.

After looking over every manufacturers website I still couldn't get my eye off that Bianchi Pro 100 holster.

I just ending up ordering a LH one today in plain tan and hopefully get it by the end of the week. I just hope that going with leather was the way to go... you never know until you bite the bullet and get one to wear.

Thanks again for everyone's suggestions.
